It's been a hectic year for Searson, and it doesn't look like things are going to slow down any time soon, Searson is a high energy group of four females and one male which has recently released its second compact disc entitled House Party.

Their CD release party will be at G'Day's on Saturday, May 25 beginning at 9 p.m.
Searson is made up of Erin Searson, 23, on lead vocals, piano and mandolin; Heather Searson, 21, on bass, vocals and bodhran; Jamie Gardner, 20, on lead fiddle, vocals and mandolin; Colleen Searson, 18, on lead fiddle and vocals; and Mike Searson on lead vocals, guitar and piano. All of the girls also step dance.
Searson has been together for the past seven years, but this will only be the fourth summer that Ms. Gardner has been a part of the group. She was asked to join the group when the former fiddler left.

Erin explaind taht they started working on the CD last summer and it took about a year since they wrote and produced the entire thing themselves. Ms. Gardner added taht they tried to write about sitiuations that were common for everybody.

"We took experiences from different areas of our lives than we have seen or that have happened to us and we put them together to come up with the songs," she said.

"We are really proud of our new CD," Erin said. "We are very pleased with the end result."

Searson is going to be very busy this summer, as they do a circuit of Celtic and fold festivals promoting their new compact disc. They will also be having a CD release party at Centennial Parkin Eganville on June 12 beginning at 7 p.m.
